Gaia Festival ‘08: Mother Mysteries

The organisers say: “This year’s theme for Gaia Fest is Mother Mysteries and will focus on connecting with our inner mother through meditation, journaling, drumming and ritual. What mysteries does She have to share with you? How has Goddess revealed Herself, or perhaps concealed Herself?”

It is organised by Stephanie Hamberger and Kris Oster of Soul Pilgrim, a sacred retreat and pilgrimage tour company.

I have been in touch by email with Kris, who “continues to explore and experience the mystical, transcendent aspects of drumming, and is writing her doctoral dissertation” for the Mythological Studies department at Pacifica Graduate Institute, which houses the Marija Gimbutas, Joseph Campbell and James Hillman archives.
