PaGaian Cosmology Course

 PaGaian Cosmology:

A Celebration of Goddess and Cosmogenesis in the Wheel of the Year

a journey through eight Seasonal Moments (Sabbats), joining with Earth’s everyday sacred journey around Sun – the Solstices, Equinoxes and cross-quarter days … a course for the novice or the experienced. When entered into fully with ceremony, it is a Poiesis of the Creative Cosmos.

The year long course may be tailored to your needs and desires: each self will develop the material in their own unique way. PaGaian Cosmology is a unique synthesis of science, female metaphor (Goddess) and Paganism, authored by Glenys Livingstone Ph.D.

The course may expand your perspective and poetic/ceremonial  expression of Earth’s Seasonal Creativity, or it may serve to help you begin a devotional Earth-based ceremonial practice that aligns with the magic and power of Her Creativity.

It is offered as a ceremonial journey into the Creativity of the Cosmos as it is expressed in the Seasonal Moments of our Planet, in your particular place, and with Goddess metaphor. It may strengthen your sense of belonging and connection to this Earth and Cosmos, in your particular place, and in your unique presence, through practices of relationship, Goddess images, meditations and ceremonial conversation with Her.

The Triple Spiral motif engraved at Brú na Bóinne (Newgrange) in Ireland expresses this cosmology: interpreted as an expression of the Creative Triplicity that unfolds the Cosmos.

PaGaian Cosmology
is an eco-spirituality grounded in the Pagan/Indigenous tradition of Old Europe, linked to story of the unfolding Universe, and Triple Goddess Poetry. It celebrates the Creativity of the Cosmos, expressed as She – within self, other and All.

The course is grounded in the seamlessness and balance of the layers of self – personal, social and cosmic, and nurtures deep Creativity. The whole of Gaia’s cycle provides an wholistic eco-psychology  that can heal and create. It is a Poiesis: the making of a world.

Artemistress/facilitator: Glenys Livingstone Ph.D. (Social Ecology), author of PaGaian Cosmology: Re-inventing Earth-based Goddess Religion and A Poiesis of the Creative Cosmos: Celebrating Her within PaGaian Sacred Ceremony

Glenys offers her scholarship and decades of teaching, and her experience in facilitating seasonal ceremony, with Earth/Cosmos and Goddess based expression for the sacred.

From Sarah, South Australia, 2023: Glenys, thank you so much for this course. Your work has provided me with a completely different viewpoint in a way that has encouraged me to deepen my spiritual practice and expanded my awareness, devotion and pathway of the Goddess.

From Anita Orlikoff in Chicago, USA: As I am getting deeper into your very dense material I notice how rich it is. And I see why there is a lot to absorb with the different levels of Triple Goddess, Cosmogenesis, and Seasonal Moments all relating to Creativity, layering rhythms that you have woven beautifully together.

I am beginning to feel into it all, and a tiny bit, weave it into my own life journey. I imagine that the weaving into my own learnings will increase next year. Creating the Altars with my own sacred objects is part of that.

From Rain Gaia in Wisconsin, USA: I have been a Goddess woman for 45 years. I had always felt there must be more to Her than all these pieces and parts from over the world. I was not able to make a satisfactory personal connection. Your work has deeply affected the way I understand the Feminine Divine. I now have a language with which to describe my consciousness of Her and to connect with Her cosmologically. She of a thousand names, She who is All. Absolute. To know we are Her, constantly renewing, recycling, reborn. We are Her, She is us. This comforts me.

The PaGaian Breath Meditation says it all. ” The entire planet is breathing.” Mind blowing! The sense of Place.  Who knew? There is no way I can adequately express how you have influenced me personally in/thru Her.

From Michelle Claire White in Sydney, Australia: The PaGaian Cosmology course has helped me explore the unfolding of the cycles of nature and indeed the ongoing creation of the cosmos as sacred. In doing so I have been able to deepen my own personal practice as one of relationship, reverence and service to the earth. In connecting with the triple metaphor of the Goddess I have gained an understanding of my own part in the creative process, gained skills as a Priestess of the Earth and aquired a new poetic understanding and language for expression of the felt sense that the cosmos is a living being. I am forever grateful to Glenys for her knowledge and wisdom shared in the course materials and her support of my ongoing work.

From Douglas in Indiana, USA: This course will take you to the very Heart of the Cosmos. You will never be the same!

…oOo…

From Margaret in Tennessee, USA:  I have always been attracted to religions of Nature (i.e. paganism), but it has always been more of a mind thing then a heart thing.  As you emphasize, PaGaian Cosmology is a practice and so that is what I am mostly focusing on and I feel its magic blossoming in my heart.  Thank you for everything.

…oOo…

From Lyndell in Ballina NSW AustraliaI have found it to re-generate so many of my principles and values around areas such as justice, integrity, ethics, that I have become increasingly aware I have buried and compromised in order to live within, survive within, a patriarchal world. AND: The course has been so powerful in supporting this process of the re-birth of myself, and of the re-generation of the strength to stand up for myself and my values, that I cannot express how profound the process has been, …

Contemplating and celebrating the seasonal transitions is a method of getting with the essential plot of being in real time and space; ceremony is a method of responding and conversing with the sentient Cosmos in which we live.
