We are the Bread of Life – Communion

IMG_0017

This Cosmos, this Earth, this life, is a Communion event – a relational, reciprocal, sacred interchange. With our lives do we feed the world, as we also are fed by Her. We may feed the world with our radiance, which is our everyday creativity, as Mother Sun does feed us in every moment – in our every thought and action.

We are each and all the Bread of Life … Sun ripens in us, and we are Food. At Summer Solstice we celebrate the ripening, and the pouring forth of it. May you be radiant. May you pour forth the deep truth of your being, in your everyday acts – as Mother Sun does.

All hail Mother Sun … herewith a poem (suitable for either Solstice):

O Mother Sun

     who is with me

     wherever I am.

*

May I always remember

     your presence

surging through my nerve fibres

breathing in my body.

Present in the forms all around me.

*

May I remember to be gracious

For Thine is the planet.

*

O Mother Sun

You are Daughter too

     – Child of Something Bigger.

Given life by the primordial cosmic dynamics.

We share the same Great Source

     from whence all Form comes.

*

We … are Awesome.

All praise be.
